FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Currently my books open for custom projects once a year, but flash pieces and sudden openings get posted throughout the year on a first come first serve basis, and are posted to my instagram story.
I require a minimum of 7 days prior notice if you're unable to make your current scheduled appointment time and want to reschedule. Anything sooner than 7 days prior notice and your deposit is considered forfeit and you will need to place a new one to make a new appointment.
I’m currently only working with black ink and focusing on geometric, ornamental and dotwork pieces with a focus on high contrast.
Deposits can be made via venmo as I have many clients out of state and stopping by with cash isn't always an option. However, I am CASH ONLY for all procedure costs. There is NO ATM on site so please make sure to grab cash out ahead of time!
The type of work that I do is heavily reliant on open skin. Working over existing pieces unfortunately compromises my ability to achieve high contrast and I don’t often take coverup projects on for that reason.
Unfortunately not at this time, as I’m looking to focus on projects that are wholly my own design.
Usually a few reference images and any specifics that they have in mind is enough for me, but sometimes it’s just as helpful to point out the things you don't like in a specific reference as it is to point out the things you do like.
Tips/gifts are always appreciated but not expected. I’m allergic to seafood, black olives and soy milk as far as food allergies go and am a baby about anything spicy!
I’m happy to create tattoos at any size!
Upon arrival we’ll go over the design together and make any changes if desired at that time while you fill out a consent form. We’ll then create and place the stencil and begin the tattoo. Every one to two hours we’ll take a stretch break and grab some water or a snack if desired until we reach an acceptable stopping point, at which we’ll take a few photos, wrap you up and go over aftercare.
Most of my sessions are between 3-6 hours for larger scale projects.
There’s a large range of different types of scarring and how they heal. Above all, I usually don’t recommend trying to tattoo over any scarring until it’s at least 3-5 years healed. During the first few years of healing the scar is likely to change quite significantly as it settles into the skin. If you’re considering getting a tattoo over an area of scarring I highly recommend reaching out with a few clear, well lit photos of the area so we can discuss the possibilities with what you’d like to have done.
Sadly, yes. I have a connective tissue disorder and damaged lymphatic system (lipedema & lymphedema). These things put added strain on my body and prevent me from being able to tattoo more than 4-6 hours at a time depending on how my body is handling it day to day. Unfortunately chronic illness can be unpredictable and I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding on the matter.
